Abstract

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship variables of spiritual well-being and self esteem among nursing students.

Methods: The subjects of this study were 105 nursing students. The data was collected through using a structured questionnaire from March 35 to April 1, 2015. The data were analysed in frequency, percentage, means, t-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe¡¯ test Pearson correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression utilizing the SPSS 18.0 computer program.

Results: First, The mean score of the spiritual well-being and self esteem were 2.89(SD=.457) and 2.92(SD=.441). Second, There were significant positive correlations between the spiritual well-being and self esteem(r=.516, p<.001). Third, the significant predictors of spiritual well-being were self esteem and religious activity participation 42.3% of the variance.
Conclusions: Through this results, the educational program for improvement of spiritual well-being and self esteem is needed for nursing students.
